S2E23: Two guys come in and set the place on fire

Jennifer's back to talk about Ben Wyatt and Chris Traeger!
Cross-post from Park It
I talked about my favorite episode of "Parks and Rec," "The Master Plan"—a.k.a. the first episode that Rob Lowe and Adam Scott appear in—and reveal a few more tidbits about my forthcoming P&R book in this fun interview with Park It's Bailey Dunn! We had so much fun! -

Hey Park It readers! Sorry for the late post this week — I’ve been recovering from our Substack holiday party on Thursday night. In case you missed my vibe for the night:

ANYWAY, now that my hangover has subsided, I’ve got a real treat for everyone — the one and only

is BACK to talk about her favorite episode of Parks. Ever. As you can tell from the thumbnail pic above, we’re having way too much fun.

In case some of you live under a rock and missed my last convo with Jennifer here on Park It, Jennifer’s currently writing a book about Parks and Rec and has been ever so gracious joining me to chat about behind-the-scenes facts she’s learning, interviews with some iconic cast members like Aubrey Plaza, and tidbits about her favorite episodes (aka - “The Master Plan”). She just wrote a legendary post on her writing group’s Substack, Ministry of Pop Culture, all about the life and death of L’il Sebastian, our favorite mini horse:

Which brings us to this episode, “The Master Plan.” It’s Jennifer’s favorite for a reason. We see the introduction of Chris Traeger and Ben Wyatt, the Andy + April will-they won’t-they starts to gain some serious steam, and Tom meets someone named Lucy who puts a little twinkle in his eye. I’ve said this on Park It so many times you guys are probably sick of it at this point but I mean it this time. THIS is the episode where Parks and Rec truly becomes Parks and Rec. No more growing pains. This show’s a full adult. It can legally drink. It’s got its legs and we finally rounded out our core cast.

I know that all (lbr: the vast, vast majority) of you fools don’t rewatch the episodes as I write about them, but trust me when I say: this one’s big time worth it.

Tell Jennifer and I what you think in the comments and enjoy!!!!

HAGS.
